Head of Product (Maternity Leave Cover)

• Lead the Product Function, providing oversight of product governance, product management, and product strategy.
• Chair and manage product governance forums and review processes.
• Own and evolve the product lifecycle framework from product design through to retirement.
• Drive product performance across customer outcomes, commercial objectives, profitability, and compliance.
• Lead the development of new product propositions and identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
• Contribute to business planning, budgeting, and business case development.
• Develop reporting, management information, and performance metrics to support decision-making.
• Coach and support Product Managers while strengthening product capability across the organisation.
• Standardise product management processes and best practices.
• Partner with Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Digital, and Sales teams to deliver product enhancements and business change initiatives.
• Sponsor strategic programmes including regulatory change, customer communications governance, and customer data initiatives.

• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to balance customer, regulatory, and business objectives.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
• Strong understanding of product governance and product lifecycle management.
• Ability to operate effectively across business, technology, operations, and compliance functions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience developing business cases, growth strategies, and performance reporting.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a regulated environment.

• Significant experience in product management, product governance, or commercial leadership within financial services.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering product or business change initiatives.
• Strong understanding of consumer finance, banking, insurance, automotive finance, or other regulated financial services environments.
• Experience operating within regulatory frameworks and governance structures.
• Demonstrated success developing and launching products and services in regulated markets.
• Relevant qualifications in business, financial services, product management, or a related discipline would be advantageous.
