Overview

You will join our high-performance team of Business Analysts and act as a Senior Business Analyst, providing professional advice, managing and/or coordinating an area within Business Analysis. You will have the opportunity to oversee technical and business readiness workstreams within projects, using available frameworks, tools, and methodologies to deliver project goals on time and within budget.

 

This role is suitable for candidates with either a Business Readiness or Technical Business Analysis background. Candidates must have Transfer Agency experience and proven exposure to client onboarding, fund migration, conversion, or deconversion projects. Experience with NSCC processes is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate multiple phases of technical and/or business readiness activities within a project and/or multiple small projects of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Support Transfer Agency client onboarding, fund migration, conversion, and deconversion initiatives.
  • Map end-to-end business processes and implement solutions for technological and process improvements within the context of overall business processes.
  • Gather business requirements from stakeholders and review existing processes to produce detailed business requirement specification documents.
  • Run workshops using proven techniques for creating detailed business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
  • Assist and supervise team contribution and communication to ensure complete requirement coverage.
  • Apply standards and methodologies, providing expertise and support on the use of methods and tools.
  • Conduct needs analysis, task planning, process/data analysis and modelling, and/or logical database design activities.
  • Identify and assess risks to the success of the project.
  • Agree project approaches with stakeholders and prepare realistic plans, including quality, risk, communication, and readiness plans.
  • Track activities against project schedules and manage stakeholder involvement as appropriate.
  • Support business readiness activities, including stakeholder engagement, training coordination, operational impact assessments, and implementation planning.
  • Handle training and build competency within the practice.

Qualifications

  • Relevant third level qualification or equivalent work experience

Desirable

  • Project Management qualification
  • Management qualification or relevant years of experience
  • Additional course or certification in Business Analysis

Essential skills

  • Proven experience in Transfer Agency.
  • Experience supporting client onboarding, fund migration, conversion, and/or deconversion projects.
  • Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
  • People management skills, including mentoring, knowledge sharing, and capability development.
  • Teamwork and emotional intelligence.
  • Strong self-management and delivery focus.
  • Innovative approach with the ability to balance creativity and risk management.
  • High value on openness, transparency, and collaboration.

Experience

  • 7 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst, successfully gathering requirements, analyzing business processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and delivering solutions that align with organizational objectives.
  • Strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies and awareness of emerging technologies and developments.
  • Good applications and technology knowledge, building on specialist domain expertise.
  • Proven ability to ensure projects meet quality standards through guidance and development of quality procedures.
  • Experience applying problem-solving methodologies and tools to diagnose and resolve operational and technical challenges.
  • Experience providing technical guidance and support to colleagues.
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with NSCC processes is preferred.
