Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Programme Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of Android-based card acceptance initiatives. This role combines strategic programme leadership with deep technical understanding of POS ecosystems, ensuring delivery excellence across multi-device environments. You will manage cross-functional teams, drive governance and reporting, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to achieve business objectives.

Proven experience in SAFe delivery at programme level is essential, demonstrating the ability to coordinate multiple agile teams, manage dependencies, and deliver complex solutions at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Programme Delivery & Governance: Define and execute delivery plans, translating product roadmaps into coordinated milestones and releases across Android platforms and applications.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strategic relationships with senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business goals and transparent communication through dashboards, RAG status, RAID logs, and executive summaries.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Align engineering, QA, UX, infrastructure, security, and business teams to manage dependencies and ensure seamless delivery.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify, quantify, and mitigate risks; own escalation paths and ensure timely resolution of impediments.
  • Technical Oversight: Provide guidance on Android development concepts, POS integration, and compliance standards (PCI, NEXO).
  • Release Management: Oversee release schedules, cutover plans, regression windows, and post-release reviews across multi-device environments.
  • Continuous Improvement: Introduce new methodologies, tools, and best practices to enhance delivery performance and scalability.
  • Talent Development: Mentor programme leads and foster a high-performance culture within multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Primary Objectives

    • Deliver Android-based card acceptance applications and platform components on time, within scope, and to agreed quality standards.
    • Provide accurate, timely reporting to enable informed decision-making at senior levels.
    • Maintain high customer and stakeholder satisfaction through proactive communication and predictable delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Professional certifications (Prince2, MSP, PMP) and/or Agile credentials (PSM, SAFe, CSM).
  • Payments or business-related qualifications advantageous.

Essential skills

  • Proven experience managing large-scale programmes in fintech, payments, or POS ecosystems.
  • Strong technical understanding of Android development (Java/Kotlin), terminal payment flows, and integration with industry standards (PCI, NEXO).
  • Expertise in programme governance, risk management, and benefit tracking.
  • Advanced stakeholder management and influencing skills across business and technology functions.
  • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to simplify complex trade-offs for executives.
