Overview

Join Expleo’s high-performance Business Analysis practice as a Senior Enterprise Business Analyst, delivering strategic initiatives in the payments and POS acquiring domain. You’ll act as a senior advisor, shaping end-to-end business requirements, owning the product backlog, and coordinating delivery within Agile teams. This role combines deep domain expertise in payments/POS acquiring with Expleo’s proven BA frameworks to deliver on-time, on-budget outcomes while elevating standards, methods, and tooling across projects.
 
This role is fully onsite in Nenagh, Co. Tipperary.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the product backlog, aligning with business priorities and stakeholder expectations.
  • Define and refine user stories with clear acceptance criteria, focusing on business outcomes and customer experience
  • Lead requirements definition end to end for complex payment acceptance solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (product, project, operations, compliance) to translate needs into actionable features.
  • Operate within an Agile Scrum team, fostering collaboration, continuous improvement, and smooth feature delivery.
  • Provide structured communication and stakeholder management, ensuring transparency on progress, risks, and dependencies.
  • Anticipate post‑production impacts, ensuring readiness for operational support and client adoption.
  • Assess cross‑functional impacts and minimize rework by driving clarity and alignment early in the lifecycle.
  • Champion end‑to‑end thinking — regulatory, operational, and customer experience requirements included.

Qualifications

  • Relevant third‑level qualification or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in product ownership, business analysis, or similar roles within Payments, POS acquiring, or fintech.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and demonstrable experience in backlog management.
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into product features and prioritize effectively.

Desirable

  • Management qualification and/or substantial senior delivery experience.
  • BA certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI‑PBA, PSPO/CSPO) and/or Agile certifications.

Experience

  • Practical knowledge of business analysis methodologies and awareness of emerging technologies.
  • Strong applications/technology understanding, building on specialist domain knowledge in payments/POS/acquiring.
  • Hands‑on Agile delivery experience with backlog ownership and iteration planning.
  • Familiarity with payment ecosystems, POS terminals, and acquiring processes (advantage).
  • Proven ability to assure quality standards by providing guidance and developing procedures related to product quality.
  • Experience applying problem‑solving methodologies to diagnose and resolve operational issues.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and resolve BA/requirements queries for junior colleagues.
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with project control tools for planning, scheduling, and tracking.
