Overview

The role of a Performance/Non-Functional Test Manager is to effectively lead a Performance/Non-Functional project for Expleo’s customers. They will lead the testing effort and be accountable for any Performance/Non-Functional Test related activity on a project. Feed into centralised projects review meetings to update stakeholders on status of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Works and co-ordinates with Project Manager, Lead Architect and Delivery Manager to deliver a project
  • Reviews and contributes to the scope, Performance/NFR projects, test design, estimates and closure artefacts
  • Manages, leads & co-ordinates actions on test domain with support of Lead Architect
  • Creates and delivers Plan, Strategy and in relation to the Project Plan, the Performance/NFT process, criteria, templates, tools and standards
  • Provide escalation support and quality assurance check thought-out the project
  • Reviews, leads & co-ordinates pre-requisites, dependencies, estimates, test design, execution and reporting
  • Collaboratively manages the service partners and vendors to deliver projects to high quality and on time
  • Provides key stakeholder management with objective view in a multi-vendor, multi-test discipline environment
  • Manages the test life cycle and co-ordinates Test Leads and Testers both onshore and offshore

Qualifications

  • Additional course or certification in Quality Engineering or IT Management
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience
  • ISTQB Advanced Test Manager, preferred

Experience

  • Experience in leading a Performance/NFT project.
  • Experience in managing upwards with multiple people, gaining their trust quickly.
  • Experience in managing a team and coordinating time and budget.
  • Good people skills, with experience of introducing and building ways in which people can learn from each other. Encourages mentoring and the transfer of knowledge by designing and delivering learning interventions.
  • Takes on high commitments and works to achieve results. Keeps momentum going over time despite setbacks, showing resilience in the face of challenges and looking for ways to beat previous standards.
  • Good applications/technology knowledge, building on specialist domain knowledge with practical experience of engineering/development tools and platforms required to deliver.
  • Solid understanding with respect to performance/non-functional test specification, analysis and design, implementation and system integration, execution as well as results evaluation, problem resolution and planning.
  • Experience in designing, coding, testing and correcting scripts from agreed specifications, and subsequent iterations, using agreed standards and tools, to achieve a well-engineered result.
  • Experience in implementing robust error handling and clear/consistent reporting functionality.
  • Knowledge of relevant testing tools in performance/NFT and test automation: LoadRunner, JMeter, NeoLoad, Gatling, LoadUI, ALM, Dynatrace, SiteScope, Cucumber or Selenium.
  • Knowledge and experience of such tools as Datadog, New Relic, Prometheus, AppDynamics or Grafana
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools
  • Strong knowledge of databases.
  • Exposure to Test Management tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA or ALM.
