Overview

We are seeking an experienced QA Tester with hands-on experience in functional testing of Payment POS (Point of Sale) systems. The role involves ensuring the quality and functionality of payment processing systems at the point of sale. Responsibilities include developing and executing test plans, identifying and reporting defects, and contributing to the overall quality assurance process. You will work with various products and systems used by merchants for accepting payments, including payment terminals and scheme cards (VISA, Mastercard, Diners, AMEX).

Responsibilities

Test Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and agree on test plans and test cases with product owners and engineers.
  • Capture test cases in tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, and X-ray.

Defect Management:

  • Identify, document, and track defects using Jira or similar tools.
  • Ensure timely resolution of defects by engineers.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Automation:

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks and scripts.
  • Work with Robot card/terminal test labs.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that product solutions meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Agile/Scrum:

  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to the team's sprint goals.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Certifications: ISTQB Foundation
  • Payments Experience: Experience with payment schemes such as VISA, Mastercard, Diners, and AMEX.
  • Terminal Testing: Essential experience with Ingenico and Verifone terminal point of sale devices.
  • API Testing: Proficiency with Postman.
  • Script Debugging: Competence in script debugging.
  • Programming: Proficiency in Python.
  • Work Environment: Must be available to work 5 days in the office.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Additional courses or certifications in Quality Assurance.

Experience

  • Quality Assurance: 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance/testing.
  • API Testing: Experience with tools such as SoapUI, Ready API, and Postman.
  • Test Automation: Proficiency in test automation scripting with tools like Selenium and Python.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of SQL, UNIX, and Agile methodologies (preferential).
  • Non-Functional Testing: Experience in non-functional testing is advantageous.
