• Responsible for the Ambition, Strategy, Solutions Definition and Selling, Overall Revenue and Development of their Cross Functional Service Offering.
• Set the strategy and roadmap for the Data Solutions business, working closely with the COO, Director of Software Engineering and Head of Sales, to drive the execution of these plans.
• Developing function business plans, workforce and learning & development plans
• Manage budgets and resources to ensure we can deliver to the changing needs of clients, including cost control, awareness of margins and ensuring return on investments.
• Present service performance information through regular service reviews and reports
• Working with existing Leadership and management to deliver to the strategy and objectives.
• Ensure top talent is attracted into the Service, clear objectives are agreed and set, and both technical and personal capability plans are in place for all employees.
• Drives service innovation ensures that Expleo remains best in class and that all Solutions and Services are fit-for-purpose and in-line with client needs and Expleo’s long-term strategy.
• Responsible for building, maintaining, and extending awareness of the service amongst the business and the internal consultant community.

• Responsible for delivery of high-quality client Data Solutions into production, ensuring all clients & projects are properly scoped, completed on or ahead of schedule, costs are managed to budget, and customer expectations are exceeded.
• Develop strong relationships with C and D Level peers to ensure all services deliver in accordance with Expleo and industry best practice processes.
• Leverage Expleo global assets, partnerships and actively promote Bestshore delivery in line with the business strategy.
• Guide the design and delivery of cloud-based data platforms for large clients.
• Lead discovery sessions, platform assessments, and present solution proposals to clients.
• Integrate machine learning and AI capabilities into data architectures to enable predictive analytics and intelligent automation.
• Architect and implement data ingestion, transformation, storage, and visualization pipelines.
• Develop MLOps workflows for model deployment, retraining, and monitoring.
• Compliance with data governance, security, and operational best practices.
• Deliver white papers or blogs that add further insight and thought leadership in the data area.

• Identifies opportunities to grow revenue streams with new and existing clients, working closely with our Sales Directors, Bid Manager and COO.
• Actively promote the service more broadly, both in Expleo (in Ireland and internationally) and externally. The Head of Data Solutions should be recognised as the spokesperson and expert and can evidence this with outside networking and relationship building.
• Leads the pre-sales process for the Data Practice.
• Supports the tender management process by owning the service input for tenders and sales pitches as delegated by the Market Unit Directors and / or COO.
• Leads activities to develop a growing revenue stream with an agreed gross profit margin.
• Develops and leverages existing business or client networks, current contacts, business relationships and opportunities to make an immediate impact.

• Responsible for local resourcing, and global collaboration with associated services.
• Define and deliver a well-defined and signed off workforce plan for your service area.
• Support HR with assessing talent and capabilities within the appropriate workforce plan and attract new talent required for the size and future growth of the business.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience

• Excellent client-facing skills
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of Data solutions within the IT services industry, including:
  • Cloud Data Platforms (for example Cloud provider services on AWS, Azure or GCP, Snowflake, Oracle and open-source tooling)
  • Data Warehousing Solutions (Cloud & On-Premises)
  • Data Lakes & Lakehouse Architectures
  • Big Data Processing Frameworks
  • Data Integration & ETL/ELT Tools
  • Relational and NoSQL Databases
  • Data Streaming & Real-Time Processing Technologies
  • Data Architecture, Modelling & Database Design Tools/Techniques
  • Data Governance & Security Frameworks such as GDPR and HIPAA
  • API Management & Data Service Technologies
  • Data Analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Qlik
  • Incorporation of ML/AI tools
• Strong understanding of the complexities of outsourcing
