As an Operations Manager (Practice Lead), you’ll take the helm of our non-functional testing practice (Performance, NFT, EDM), driving innovation, operational excellence, and client success. Reporting to the Head of Service, you’ll play a pivotal role in pre-sales, solution design, team leadership, and delivery oversight. Responsibilities

  • Focus on the management of non-functional quality engineering team (performance, NFT, EDM) and their deliverables.
  • Cascade the service strategy and information from the Head of Service to the Practice.
  • Deliver Pre-Sales by working with Heads of Service and the Market Units.
  • Ensure effective day-to-day execution of operations in their scope: organise technical tasks, and guarantee workload plans and productivity for several delivery projects across several clients.
  • They are the first level of escalation for both delivery teams and clients to resolve issues that arise.
  • Manage a team, which includes lower-level managers or supervisors, and be responsible for their performance, development, and deployment on various projects.
  • Commit to the projects and services delivery within their scope in terms of quality, deadlines, and customer satisfaction.
  • Implement company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal guidelines.
  • Define resourcing needs for projects and interview candidates (recruitments and subcontractors).
  • Participate in the drafting of technical proposals.
  • Update reporting systems, providing updates on performance metrics in the tools.
  • Fill needs skills development/ training plans implementation for their teams.
  • Recommend changes to existing methods and techniques by drawing from personal experiences and feedback to bring in effectiveness and efficiency in the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience
  • ISTQB, equivalent qualifications, or certification in relevant disciplines

  • Excellent client-facing skills - advising clients and clearly communicating the benefits of implementing specific solutions and identifying areas to add value.
  • People Management / Leadership skills.
  • Good self-management – continuous performance is both an objective and a mind-set.
  • Has an innovative approach – a bold thinker and doer, matching creativity with vigilance

Experience

  • Experience as a Senior Manager within an IT-focused organisation—whether in product development, technology solutions, or professional services
  • Business Development and pre-sales experience.
  • Expertise leading sales proposal development and conducting client presentations.
  • Possess team leadership skillsets and/or advanced knowledge of performance, NFT, EDM, DevOps, and CI/CD.
  • Have lead project level delivery teams on-shore, off-shore and near-shore, using different methodologies, techniques, tooling and frameworks.
  • Ability to act as a peer at executive levels in client companies and comfortable working within complex organisations, an ability to build empathy, credibility and trust with key customers.
